  Introduction:  

The second-largest industry in our nation is wire and cable. The most popular and reasonably priced cable fire performance test equipment is the single cable combustion tester, which satisfies the specifications of standards IEC 60332-1-1:2004 and GB/T 18380.11-2008 in terms of technical indications and requirements. The flame retardant capability of the cable's insulating layer is tested using a single cable combustion tester under erroneous circumstances such overheating and overcurrent. It may be used to examine the vertical propagation of flame in cables or fibers, as well as to determine whether flames are present in combustion droplets.

Test procedure

1.Test sample

The test sample shall comprise a number of test pieces of cable from the same production length, each having a minimum length of 3,5 m.

The total number of test pieces in the test sample shall be that number required to provide a nominal total volume of non-metallic material of 1,5 l/m of test sample.

The test sample shall be chosen within the limitations given in annex A.

The test pieces forming the test sample shall be conditioned at a temperature of (20 ± 10) · C for at least 16 h before commencing the test. The test pieces shall be dry.

2. Determination of the number of test pieces

In order to calculate the appropriate number of test pieces, it is necessary to determine the volume per meter of non-metallic material of one test piece.

A length of cable which shall be not less than 0,3 m long is carefully cut to ensure that the surfaces are at right angles to the cable axis, thus enabling precise measurements of its length.

  Main features:

8. A needle valve regulates the gas flow rate.

9. Having a caliper for measuring flame height.

10. Has an automatic ignition system, a pressure regulator, and a gas flow meter.

11. The torch's adjustable 45° to 0° angle.

12. The flame calibration tool is not required.
