  Introduction:  

Due to children's inexperience with risk and their young age, children's pajamas and associated fabrics pose a threat to safety since they can cause burning when they come into touch with fire sources. This makes one of the more crucial components of the safety of such products—the combustion performance of children's pajamas—important. The flame retardant qualities of pajamas must be examined in accordance with the test procedures stated in the appropriate technical rules and standards that have been adopted by several industrialized countries. Products that don't comply with the standards will not be allowed to enter [And sold; this children's pajamas vertical combustion tester is made in accordance with CFR 1615/1616, CA TB117 and other relevant standards. Mainly used for flame retardant properties of children's pajamas or pajama fabrics exposed to small open flames.

Process:

1. Prepare the sample

Use a template or mold to generate a sample in a known area and cut the sample of the fabric in the test unit to determine the fabric weight (g/m2 or oz/yd2). Weigh the sample and take the average

Value to determine the weight of the fabric.

For each sample, cut 5 samples measuring 8.9 X 25.4 cm (3.5 X 10.0 in.). Prepare two samples from one direction (warp/machine or filling/cross machine)

I prepared three samples. Pay attention to the fabric weight on the test report.

In case of failure, another sample is required for testing, and the failed samples of all 5 samples are cut from the same direction (s)


Fabric sample

The fabric manufacturer shall take samples and $1615.4 (c) and $1616.4 (b) to determine the number of fabric samples to be prepared.

Prepare two samples from one direction (warp/machine or filling/cross mac machine) and three samples from the other directions.

For fabric samples of a garment, prepare two samples from the longitudinal or transverse direction of the garment and three samples from the other direction.


Multilayer fabric sample

Prepare a full length sample of all components of a multilayer fabric sample. Stitch -- piece

2.5 cm (1.0 inch) lower hem at the bottom of the specimen.

Cut the multilayer fabric specimen to a length of 28 cm (11 inches).

When a multilayer fabric sample is prepared from a garment, the sample is cut so that the garment edge is completed at the bottom of the sample.

When failure requires another sample for evaluation, cut all 5 fabric samples from the same direction as the failed sample.


Testing of seams

To determine the number of specimens to be prepared, refer to Section 8.2. Sampling by garment manufacturers.

Prepare the joint test piece so that the joint is in the center of the test piece and parallel to the long dimension. For GPU testing, do not cut specimens with cross seams.

Production test: If the longest seam in the garment is less than 10 inches long in the maximum size of production, prepare the sample according to the procedure of 1615.4 (d) (3) (i) (B) and 1616.4 () (3) (i (B).

Decorative sample

To determine the number of specimens to be prepared, refer to 8.2.1 Prototype Testing and 1615.4 (d) (2) (i) and 1616.4 () (2) (i).

Prepare fabric samples in which decorative components can be attached. Using the same thread (or other fastening material), stitch and seam type, apply the trim to the

Fabric sample.

For the edging used only for horizontal configuration (including through the chest or at the bottom edge of the garment), the edging shall be applied horizontally to the entire width of the bottom edge of the fabric sample.

For the hems (including sleeves and necklines) with non horizontal configuration of clothing, stick the hems vertically to the center of the entire length in the long direction of the fabric sample.

If there are more than one row of cutting patterns for the ready to wear clothes, prepare samples with the same row number and spacing (limited to the size of the samples).

For the decoration integrated into the seam, use the same decoration seam configuration to prepare the sample. The trim joint is constructed in such a way that the specimen includes the joint trim configuration at the center of the entire length of the specimen.

For bows or other scattered decorations on the clothes, place the decorations in the bottom center of the sample. The bottom edge of the trim sheet should be centered, even with the bottom edge of the fabric sample. 


2. Install the specimen

Align the lower edge of the test piece with the lower edge of the base plate of the test piece support.

Make the specimen smooth, as flat as possible, and slightly tight.

For joint specimens, place the specimen so that the joint is centered in the opening of the holder

The test piece can be fixed on the bracket with adhesive tape.

Fix the specimen support plate and specimen with clamps.

  Main Features:  

1. The box is painted and has an observation glass that is clear.
