Introduction:

1.When petroleum products and some non-petroleum based materials are used as equipment lubricants, the normal operation of equipment depends on liquid lubricants with appropriate viscosity. In addition, viscosity is very important in determining the storage, handling and operating conditions of many petroleum fuels. Therefore, accurate measurement of viscosity is very necessary for the formulation of product specifications.

2.The viscosity of in-service lubricants is a common measurement parameter used to evaluate the effect of engine wear on in-service lubricants and the working conditions of components during engine operation.

3.The Automated Houillon Viscometer is an automatic instrument for rapid determing the kinematic viscosity of oil products. It is designed and manufactured in accordance with ASTM D7279; the instrument has the functions of automatic detection and automatic cleaning, and its performance is comparable to imported similar instruments.

4.The Automated Houillon Viscometer is widely applied for the measurement includes Newtonian liquids such as base oil, blended lubricants, biodiesel, biodiesel blends, residual fuel oil, ship oil and in-service lubricants.


Features:

1. The measurement speed of Automated Houillon Viscometer is very rapid. The fastest time to get results in fast mode is 15 seconds, generally within 3 minutes, the whole process of sampling, measurement, cleaning, drying, and result calculation generally takes no more than 7 minutes.

2. High degree of automation. Measurement, cleaning, drying, result calculation, and repeatability calculation are all automatically completed.

3. Applicable to various types of measurement samples. It can measure transparent and opaque samples, including Newtonian liquids such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, cutting fluid, heat transfer oil, additives, new oil of lubricating oil and in-use oil.

4. The cleaning is fast and the cleaning cost is low. A cleaning process generally consumes no more than 10 ml of cleaning fluid.

5. Many auxiliary functions. Including: constant calibration, temperature calibration, internal clock timing verification, automatic viscosity index calculation, automatic conversion of kinematic viscosity-Engler viscosity.

6. Software and hardware dual over-temperature protection, over-temperature alarm, and anti-dry protection function.

7. Rapid heating and cooling speed. The fastest rate of temperature rise and fall is 5°C/min.

8. Double-layer glass cylinder is used to make the temperature more uniform.

9. It adopes PT500 high-precision temperature sensor, the temperature of the constant temperature bath is stable and accurate, and the temperature control accuracy can reach 0.01℃.

10. It can be equipped with a disposable filter, which greatly reduces the workload of operator on sample pretreatment.

11. The viscometer can be changed quickly without emptying the constant temperature bath.

12. Data can be transmitted wirelessly via WIFI and connected to the LIMS system.
