Introduction:
The Apparent viscosity is the ratio of shear stress and shear rate applied to the flowing liquid. It is a measure of the internal friction force when the liquid flows under a certain shear stress. It is an important index of engine oil performance evaluation. The service performance of engine oil can be evaluated by measuring its apparent viscosity under different experimental conditions.
The Cold-Cranking Simulator mainly tests the low temperature dynamic viscosity index of the engine oil at -10C to -35C, and the CCS is fully controlled by the computer and the viscosity result is automatically calculated.
